About Verdex ⬡

Verdex was built to solve a simple problem: software engineers have no standardized way to prove their technical cloud platforms are carbon-efficient.

We rely on arbitrary ESG reports written by marketers. We wanted math, verifiable data, and permanent proof.

The Origin

Built as a solo-founder project originally incubated within the context of the Network School community. It merges cloud DevOps methodologies with immutable blockchain attestation.

The Methodology

Our calculation engine uses open-source coefficients identical to the ones utilized by the Cloud Carbon Footprint project, mapping strictly to the GHG Protocol Scope 2 standards.

  • Grid Intensity: Sourced regionally (e.g., US-East-1 vs EU-North-1).
  • Hardware PUE: Mapped to standard cloud provider published baselines.
  • Comparisons: Score outputs (0-1000) evaluate your specific load against expected cluster medians.

Independently verifiable

Your certificates aren't just entries in a private database. Each one is signed by Verdex with an Ed25519 signature and carries a public proof.json that anyone can replay to confirm the number is genuine.

Share your Certificate Key with anyone — a customer, an auditor, a partner — and they can verify your certificate in seconds. No account, no wallet, anywhere in the world.
